Recipe editorial policy
With Cozy Recipes publishes practical comfort-food guidance for home cooks. This page explains what we check, what our estimates mean, and how readers can request a correction.

What a recipe must provide
Every recipe must have a clear purpose, a complete ingredient list, numbered instructions, realistic preparation and cooking times, a stated yield, and practical cues that help a cook judge progress. We also aim to answer the questions that matter after dinner: reasonable substitutions, safe storage, reheating, and what to serve alongside the dish.
We do not add paragraphs simply to reach a word count. A smoothie should not require the same length as a layered lasagna. Useful detail should match the decisions and possible problems in the recipe.
AI-assisted production
We use AI tools to help research recipe angles, organize drafts, identify missing reader questions, and create custom food illustrations. AI assistance does not become a fictional author: the byline names the publication, and we do not invent a chef, credentials, personal memories, ratings, reader reviews, or testing that did not happen.
Every page must be reviewed before publication. The review checks whether ingredients match the method, whether quantities and timings are internally plausible, whether safety-sensitive steps have clear cues, and whether the article adds practical help instead of repeating generic text.
How recipes are reviewed
Editorial review is not the same as hands-on kitchen testing. A recipe is labelled kitchen-tested only when a real test and useful testing notes are documented for that specific version.
Before publication, we review ingredient amounts against the stated servings, confirm that every listed ingredient is used, check the sequence and timing of the instructions, and look for missing temperature or doneness guidance. We review high-risk steps for standard food-safety advice, including the USDA minimum internal temperature of 165°F for poultry and prompt refrigeration of perishable leftovers.
Equipment, ingredient brands, elevation, and oven calibration vary. Visual and temperature cues are usually more reliable than a timer alone. Unless a page says otherwise, editorial review should not be interpreted as laboratory testing or professional dietary advice.
Originality and sources
Recipe wording, explanations, tips, and organization are prepared for With Cozy Recipes. Familiar dishes naturally share established ingredients and techniques, but we do not copy another publisher's article, personal story, photographs, or distinctive instructions.
Food images are custom digital visuals created for this publication. They illustrate the intended dish and are not evidence that every reader's result will look identical. Ingredient size, cookware, lighting, and technique all affect appearance.
Advertising and commercial influence
The site may earn revenue from display advertising. Advertising does not buy a favorable recipe conclusion or change the standards above. If sponsored content or affiliate links are introduced later, that relationship will be disclosed clearly on the relevant page.
Nutrition, allergens, and substitutions
Nutrition values are estimates based on typical ingredients and the stated servings. Brands, portions, toppings, and substitutions can change them. Readers managing allergies or a medical condition should check product labels and consult an appropriate professional.
A suggested substitution means the swap is reasonable for the method; it does not guarantee identical flavor, texture, nutrition, or allergen status. Important exceptions are called out on the page.
Updates and corrections
We update a page when instructions can be clearer, a safety cue is missing, or a substitution needs qualification. Material changes should be reflected in the page's updated date and structured data.
If you find an unclear step, an unused ingredient, or timing that needs another look, send the recipe URL and details through our contact page. We review specific feedback and correct confirmed errors.
